The University of Divinity is giving priority to the development of Indigenous Studies. Prof Mark Brett has been facilitating conversations in this area, and this year (24–25 September) the College will host the third Whitley conference on the legacies of colonialism:
‘Constitutions and Treaties: Law, Justice, Spirituality’
Participating in the planning of this event are Pastor Ray Minniecon, community chaplain in Redfern, and Grant Paulson, Faith and Development Advisor with World Vision.
Some of the papers from the Storyweaving conference in 2012 were published in a book called Colonial Contexts and Postcolonial Theology: Storyweaving in the Asia-Pacific, and two short films from this conference are freely available online: In Our Lifetime: Aboriginal Christians Talking and, Doing Two-Way Theology.
